Costa Rica Activities
Costa Rica offers much in the way of adventure and ecotourism and there are opportunities for surfing, fishing, ziplining, canopy tours, ATV rentals, white water rafting, mountain biking, scuba diving, horseback riding, golfing, birdwatching, hiking, wildlife viewing, etc. Folks who stay in our townhome can surf, fish, horseback ride, bicycle on the beach, and trek to waterfalls, activities found only a short distance from the townhome.
Fishing and Diving
Fishermen can venture south along the coast to Quepos (40 minutes) or north to the Los Suenos Marina and Golf Resort a few miles north of Jaco in Herradura (40 minutes) to charter a boat for some of the best offshore sport fishing in the world. An inexpensive alternative is to stay nearby and 'rough it' by hiring a local Tico fisherman in Esterillos to take you offshore in their simple Panga boats to catch dinner, surf cast from the beach, or throw a line into one of the nearby estuaries flowing into the Pacific.

Scuba dive charters are available in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area.
Golfing
Golf enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite game at Los Suenos, an oceanfront golf resort/ marina located just north of Jaco that has a championship, world class golf course that blends into the rainforest, and where golfers can encounter monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws and other wildlife along the fairways.
Surfing
Costa Rica is a surfer's paradise, with consistent waves and warm water - around 80 degrees - year round. See separate surfing section for a description of the varied wave breaks found near our townhome, as well as surf photos.
